Joakim Schmidt has worked as an art industry professional for more than two decades. He studied art history, painting and majored in printmaking at the Rhode Island School of Design where he had the opportunity to study and work with many internationally renowned artists. Since graduating from RISD in 1997, he has worked with many of the top art collections in the world: museums, galleries, auction houses, private and corporate. Through his business, Joakim is experienced in working one on one with individual collectors, architects, designers, and curators. He specializes in giving artistic and aesthetic advise, often guiding his clients in discovering and extracting the most visual and conceptual impact from their existing collection as well as how to incorporate new work. Joakim creates energy and new life within a space by using his expertise and understanding of composition to decide the best selection, placement, and installation of art.
